![]() The reasons why it didn’t get 4.5 or 5 frozen stars is because of two things. In my review book Eliza and Her Monsters got a whopping, 4 out of 5 stars!! Okay, I know what you might be thinking and the answer is yes, I probably liked this book so much, just because in the surface it sounds a little bit like Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (one of my favorite books of all time).īut this book is so much than that! And even though I almost give up on it in the first few chapters, I’m happy I kept reading because this book is amazing. Wallace thinks Eliza is just another fan, and as he draws her out of her shell, she begins to wonder if a life offline might be worthwhile.īut when Eliza’s secret is accidentally shared with the world, everything she’s built-her story, her relationship with Wallace, and even her sanity-begins to fall apart. ![]() Then Wallace Warland, Monstrous Sea’s biggest fanfiction writer, transfers to her school. Eliza can’t imagine enjoying the real world as much as she loves the online one, and she has no desire to try.
